Our Students

Butterfly Grove School serves autistic children who benefit from significant individualized support and who would thrive in a small, adaptive learning environment that meets their sensory and regulatory needs. Our program embeds specialized speech, occupational, and behavioral therapies directly into every student’s day. Our students may communicate using speech, have emerging speech skills, or do not yet use verbal speech to communicate.

Admissions

Our inaugural class serves kindergarten-aged children, ages 5 to 7. Our 2026-2027 class serves children ages 5 to 8, aged for kindergarten through first grade.

  • What does Butterfly Grove’s school schedule look like?

    We follow a regular school day schedule with monthly early dismissals and a modified year-round calendar that ensures that students truly benefit from continuous learning and care.

  • What are the criteria for admission?

    For the 2026-2027 school year, we are serving children who:

    • Are kindergarten-aged (5-7 years old) and first-grade-aged (6-8 years old)
    • Have been diagnosed with or are suspected to have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
    • May communicate using speech, have emerging speech skills, or do not yet use verbal speech to communicate, use AAC devices, or rely on behavior as a primary form of communication
    • Would benefit from significant individualized support
    • Would thrive in a small, adaptive learning environment
  • What does a student's experience encompass?

    Our program provides an individualized and integrated experience, where our educators work directly with our speech, occupational, and behavioral therapists. We have a small student-to-staff ratio, with teachers, clinicians, specialty instructors, and administrators supporting each student. The program includes all meals and extracurricular activities. We also offer financial aid and scholarship assistance up to 100% for qualifying families.
